Summer Camp

WHAT HAPPENS AT SUMMER CAMP?

Summer FUN happens at summer camp! Including planned weekly outings to the pool (usually twice per week) and trips to other great destinations like: Sky Zone, Chuck E. Cheese, bowling, Hot Fired Arts, Westview Cinemas, Ledo Pizza, Dairy Queen, Catoctin Zoo, and more! And on days when we stay at the center, we have great center activities like: theme days, spirit days, and specialty camp events such as "Fun with Science Day", "Superhero Dress-up Day", "Scavenger Hunt for Treasures Day", "Fun with Food Day", as well as one of the kids' all-time-favorites... "Break a Clubhouse Kids World Record Day", and more!

On days when we stay at the center, the kids will have a BLAST playing in our 2 enormous gymnasium-sized rooms where there is plenty of room to stretch & move and play on our air hockey tables, ping pong tables or shoot hoops!

WHO CAN ATTEND CLUBHOUSE KIDS SCHOOL-AGE SUMMER CAMP, AND WHAT ABOUT YOUNGER KIDS?

Clubhouse Kids Summer Camp is open to all Frederick area school-age children who have completed Kindergarten, and are entering 1st grade through 6th grade in the upcoming fall school year.

Soon-to-be-kindergarteners can enroll in our younger-than-school-age summer camp program which does not include weekly trips, but DOES include weekly visits from the Kona Ice man, weekly visits from the FCPS Bookmobile, plenty of outdoor summer play & water play, and our annual visiting Petting Zoo with ponies & pony rides, goats, pigs, chickens, and more!

Tell your family!! Tell your friends!!

SCHOOL-AGE SUMMER CAMP FIELD TRIPS, OUTINGS, AND ACTIVITIES

We keep ourselves quite busy each week with fun, and exciting field trips which include trips to the pool every week, and awesome trips each week to destinations such as Sky Zone, Chuck E. Cheese, bowling, Hot Fired Arts, Westview Cinemas, Catoctin Zoo, Ledo Pizza, Dairy Queen, and more!!

When we're not on a field trip, you can bet that we're having a blast at the center with arts & crafts activities, our air hockey & ping pong tables, or one of our theme days such as Break a Clubhouse Kids World Record Day, Gaming Day, Fun with Food Day, and more!

Watch our Forms page for a downloadable/printable calendar of the FUN planned for the next Clubhouse Kids Summer Camp season! School-age summer camp enrollment opens at 9:30am on the third Monday in March each year! But plan ahead! Typically, by mid-May each year, several...if not all camp weeks are full, forcing us to turn away many late-enrolling families each year! And don't forget to take a look at the fun we had during previous summers on our Facebook page!

SUMMER CAMP DATES

Clubhouse Kids Summer Camp usually begins on the first Monday after the last day of the normal Frederick County Public Schools school year for kids. Then, summer camp sessions occur weekly throughout the summer until the Friday before the next school year begins. So, if the first day of the next school year is on a Wednesday, there will be a Monday and a Tuesday with no summer camp, and no school. We use these days between camp and the new school year for staff trainings & orientations and overall preparation for the upcoming school year.

Summer Camp 2024 is expected to begin on or about Monday, June 10, 2024 (depending on snow make-up days) and run through Friday, August 16, 2024. Camp hours are 9:00am - 3:30pm daily, with extended care available in the mornings from 7:00am - 9:00am and in the evenings from 3:30pm - 6:30pm.

SUMMER CAMP RATES

We know summer camp can be expensive. To the best of our knowledge, Clubhouse Kids has had, and hopes to continue to have, one of the the lowest priced summer camps in the area for our multiple-weekly-field-trip type of summer camp program. Our program is without a doubt the best value in Frederick-area summer camp programs!

Summer Camp tuition rates are listed in our Summer Camp Registration & Enrollment Packet each year, and are likely to adjust slightly each year due to inflation, but we always strive to remain priced lower than our competitors, and to provide the best summer camp value for the money. Costs associated with weekly field trips and planned activities at the center are built-in to weekly camp tuitions.

A summer camp sliding scale sibling discount is offered for siblings enrolled in the same weeks of camp. The more siblings enrolled, the higher the discounted amount! (As far as we know, none of our area competitors offer this, especially during summer). Our summer camp sibling discount amount is:

  • $10 per 1st additional sibling (child #2) per week; and,
  • $20 per 2nd additional sibling and after (child #3+) per week.

Without a doubt...Clubhouse Kids Summer Camp provides the best value with the most FUN and SMILES!
